Glass Jar Design
Within the framework of the study of glass as a material and its industrial and handicraft processes, this project is a practical exploration of the material applied to packaging for the food industry.
The core intention behind the design was to ensure that the brand label and the contained product coexist harmoniously, allowing both elements to be appreciated without competing for visual dominance.
To achieve this balance, the label is placed on top of a sandblasting finish which fades the content from the front of the jar. The natural transparency of the glass on the sides allows the content to remain visible, wrapping around the label and enhancing the overall design.
The jar's shape is inspired by organic forms, that subtly allude to the origin of the product it contains.
